The Bugle

This afternoon I got a text message from Ron that included an audio clip of him practicing his elk bugle and asking, "You ready for elk season?" The answer is YES! I"m ready for elk season, deer season, duck season.....I'm ready for all of it! But the message reminded of an archery bull hunt in 2008 when Jay and I both had tags and Ron was able to come out and spend much of the hunt with us. We had a great hunt and were able to fill one of the tags, and the three of us realized that we were all just as fanatical as the guy next to us.

We also taught Ron that you had to have a good sense of humor to hang out with Jay and I....
