Opening Weekend Duck Hunt

Headed out for opening weekend of duck season up here in northern Arizona.  Met Joe and Scott at dark thirty and headed to claim a piece of real estate.




As shooting light filled the sky and legal shooting hours approached the whiz of ducks flying over fill the air.

The sounds of three shot salutes filled the air all round us and it kept the birds moving around.  Overall had a great morning.  Only 5 ducks were taken but it wasn't really due to lack of shots...

Bailey did outstanding and even though she didn't get to head out last year she picked up right were she left off.

It was a fun weekend and good to be out on the water again.   Looking forward to the next one.

    The 2020 duck season in Colorado was unforgettable. Birds quickly descended due to early cold temperatures, and by mid-November, the South Platte was full.
